Hello,

Can i set a limit for how many ports can be added by a tenant to a specific shared subnet? But not affect the other subnets that the tenant has?

I am using openstack juno with dvr neutron. I attach instances dirrectly to the external network. I want to limit the number of ports that a client can have on the external network directly, but not affect his other internal networks!

Is this possible?

So there isn't a built in option to limit the amount of ports to be used on a specific subnet, but you can maybe set up a subnet with a set amount of IP's available. I would recommend updating the subnet with something similar to this 'neutron subnet-update subnet001 --allocation-pools start=10.10.12.200,end=10.10.12.210 --allocation-pools start=10.10.12.220,end=10.10.12.230' Based on the ip allocation pool you can lock down the amount of available IP's on a specific subnet.
