root@compute1:~# service neutron-plugin-openvswitch-agent start

neutron-plugin-openvswitch-agent start/running, process 3946

root@compute1:~# service neutron-plugin-openvswitch-agent status

neutron-plugin-openvswitch-agent stop/waiting

And there is no neutron-ovs-agent of compute node shows up when I run neutron agent-list on the controller. Neither log file created under /var/log/neutron/. Any idea to debug this issue, folks?

If this is on Ubuntu you can see what the agent doesnt start by looking in /var/log/upstart/neutron-plugin-openvswitch-agent.log

This should have debug output that can give you a clue to why its not starting.
