I've done creating a Windows Server 2012 R2 instance, but when I attach a cinder-volume to this Windows Server instance, the status of the volume first became "attaching", but after a while it became "available" again, and it didn't attach successfully. Also no error prompted out during this time.

  1. I've tried using horizon and command line to attach, not working
  2. Modify the volume smaller to attach, not working
  3. Change the device name "/dev/disk", "/dev/hdisk", "dev/vdc", not working
  4. Nothing error in ciner or nova log

I've checked the official site Windows Server 2012 R2 is supported since H version. Could anyone help fix this issue? Thanks.

Most Block Storage errors are caused by incorrect volume configurations that result in volume creation failures. Can you try again and attach the logs starting from when you issued the attach.

cinder-api log (/var/log/cinder/api.log)

cinder-volume log (/var/log/cinder/volume.log
