I am installing devstack on a two node setup (controller and compute). Both of them are running on virtual machines with single NICs. In my localrc file of controller, I have enabled q-svc, q-agt, q-dhcp, q-l3, q-meta, neutron,q-lbaas in my localrc file of compute, I've enabled n-cpu,rabbit,neutron,q-agt,q-dhcp,q-l3 when I am trying to launch an instance, I get the error Failed to allocate the network(s), not rescheduling The network setup is shown in the image image description The network net on which I am trying to launch an instance cirr is of type local.

n-cpu.log can be found at Can someone help me fix this issue.

I added the log. Am not sure if it contains the required info. Thanks :)

I encountered the same error and fixed by putting

in the nova.conf file on the compute node.

Update to neutron.conf

agent_down_time = 75

Check status rabbitmq-server :

$ netstat -antp | grep 5672
$ iptables-save | grep 5672

Make sure rabbitmq-server is listening at port 5672.
Please , post ml2_conf.ini on Controller && plugin.ini on Compute node.
