Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 cinder-backup : Depends: cinder-common (= 1:2014.1.3-0ubuntu1.1) but 1:2014.2.1-0ubuntu1~cloud0 is to be installed

My mistake, somehow the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cloudarchive-juno.list file got removed on this node.

Do you by chance have the 'cinder-common' or 'cinder-backup' packages installed already? It looks like whatever repository you're pulling from has mismatched versions of cinder-common and cinder-backup.

This can occur if you have one package installed that's out-of-date, or if you've got one package from the Unstable repo and one from Stable... or something similar.

I would suggest uninstalling one or both, running an 'apt-get update', and then attempting to install both packages again.

I have the default Ubuntu 14.04 repos plus ceph and openstack:

# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*
deb trusty main
deb trusty-updates/juno main
