I have installed Openstack Havana with a Controller and Compute on Ubuntu12.04. It is working fine

I tried to add a new Compute machine2. I have configured nova-compute and neutron-openvswitch-agent plugin with VLAN networking.

The VM launched in the Compute machine2 is not getting ip address. The Compute1 VMs are working fine.

Any heads up or leads to get this troubleshooted. Please help me.

If you are using vlans use tcpdump to make sure that your packets are being properly tagged as they leave the physical system. IF they are tagged double check you switch to make sure its routing your tagged packets correctly

Actually VLAN is working fine.

I am seeing the DHCP messages out of the br-ex and br-int of the Compute Node

But the Controller is not receiving the DHCP messages. I dont see it in /var/log/syslog of Controller

But it is working for the other Compute Node.
