Hi ,

Why if I launched a VM with medium flavor ( 40 Gb disk ) its root file system is 20 Gb only ?

fdisk -l shows 40 Gb .

What image are you booting? Did you create it yourself or it a standard Fedora/Ubuntu/etc cloud image?

I used a standart CentOS 6 image .

fdisk -l

Disk /dev/vda: 42.9 GB, 42949672960 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 5221 cylinders .......

df -h

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/vda1 20G 1.2G 18G 7% /

As you see , the df gives only 20 gb

Where did you get the image from? Your issue seems like it may be related to this - http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/...
