Is it possible to create instance to make it bootable from Swift object storage?

Someone mentioned to me it was only possible to use Nova and Cinder storage for boot volumes, but I want to confirm.

As it clearly states in the docs, swift is used only for object storage, not for block storage. So you can not provision vms with storage from swift. You need cinder for that. You can install ceph as a cinder backend and ceph gateway as swift backend. This way you will have a unified storage system!

Boot only from cinder or nova, not from swift.
