Hi,

I am looking for some documentation which would help me to export the vmware virtual machine and import it to glance as a vmdk image.

Kinda depends on what flavour of VMWare you have - workstation/fusion or vsphere have very different answers.. but if you can get at the VMWare vmdk, this document is a good primer on importing things into Glance:

tedit, Thanks for the reply. I am using vsphere flavour. Also i am using the esxi as openstack hypervisor(compute) so need image in vmdk format. The link you provided is converting from vmdk to kvm

Ah, OK - in that case, that's even simpler. Something like VMWare Converter or a plain old export.
