are you able to run glance image-list. you should provide glance-api log for finding the issue.

hey sumesh,

even i encountered the same issue once, what i did is comment the all Qpid messaging server configurations, and maintained only rabbitmq configurations in both /etc/glance/glance-api.conf and /etc/glance/glance-registry.conf and restart the services.

well that worked for me.

hey sumesh, sometimes it may not resolve the host, so instead of host name directly give the IP address in all the conf files. and set verbose=true and debug=true

hi pradeepnaik you mean localhost for hostname.

hi, the standard practice is to use a static IP, do changes in /etc/network/interfaces. and respective changes must reflect /etc/hosts . what IP have you given where it asks you for bind address, my suggestion dont use localhost 127.0.0.1

Hi Sumesh,

By seeing your logs sheepdog file is not found once install sheepdog with python cinderclient as given below

# apt-get install sheepdog python-cinderclient

After installing sheepdog restart the glance api and registry services

# service glance-api restart

# service glance-registry restart

then create the glance image and let me know if there is any another issue.

Hi Sumesh,

You should un comment the known_stores you want to use in glance configuration file. For example if you want to use filesystem and swift as a backend, then un comment these two stores. Then restart the glance-api and glance-registry. If this doesn't solve the issue, again paste the glance-api log.
