Does Icehouse support SRIOV, Cpu pinning and NUMA?

Hi,

I see that Juno release supports SRIOV, NUMA and Kilo release supports Cpu-pinning. But can these also be achieved in Icehouse release? How do I achieve these with Icehouse? Will this be a large code change that I need to barrow from Juno and Kilo release and add it to the code base of Icehouse? Please share your thoughts.

Thanks,

-Veena

SR-IOV was introduced in Juno, as were parts of the vCPU pinning/NUMA awareness functionality though it is fair to say they are only really fully usable in Kilo. All in all these are quite big changes, I would not say backporting them to an Icehouse codebase is impossible but it would likely be non-trivial.

My recommendation would be to upgrade to at least Juno and then backport what you need either yourself or with the help of whichever OpenStack vendor you might be engaged with. Juno will at least give you the SR-IOV improvements for example (not much has changed in this area in Kilo).

Thanks for the info. I think if I can find the commit logs related to these changes in Juno, then it'll be easy for me to back port to Icehouse. Could you please let me know how can I find the commit logs between Icehouse to Juno.
