Hi,

Just asking if anyone wants to share how you have managed to scale down gracefully with heat. I'm talking about how to handle still active connections to a server about to be removed by autoscaling down policy.

Thanks,

Have you ever seen this before? The following page also contains useful information about the heat autoscale up and down: http://techs.enovance.com/5991/autosc... You can google it to find more...

Thanks for the link but I already have a autoscaling demo deployment with heat. However. I'm wondering how to avoid user's connection disruptions when downscaling, considering vm's are just deleted when the policy is triggered.

Hello, I was also wondering the same thing. I have autoscaling working with heat, but I need to know how the downscale chooses a VM to delete or if there is a graceful method in place already. Thanks for all input.

The oldest VM would be deleted when downscaling. Check this
