Neutron ML2: vCenter VM does not get static DHCP from Neutron dhcp-agent (Icehouse)

Setup:

  • Icehouse

  • Neutron +ML2 Mechanism Driver + ODL

  • Created a VLAN provider network using ML2 mechanism Driver.

  • Spun VM on vCenter cluster using ==> Successful (ofcourse)

Problem:

  • Unable to get DHCP IP from Neutron DHCP, although DHCP Discover ARP's are seen on dhcp-name-space. We ended up configure the IP manually on VM spun on vCenter cluster.

  • Neutron's dhcp-name-space, unable to reach that VM's IP, nor VM can reach neutron DHCP-name-space.

Appreciate any pointers.

Thanks

Try to disable iptables bridge. Do you use OVS or linuxbridge ?
