I want to confirm that my grizzly installation is correct.

When I run nova-manage services list I get "nova-network" listed in the services. However, I have installed quantum.

Does quantum purport to be the nova-network service, or have I somehow mistakenly installed nova-network?

Can someone with a similar setup check to see what services are running?

When using Quantum/Neutron for networking you need to disable nova-network, which obviously hasn't happened in this case. It is not necessary to run both and in fact running both is likely to cause networking issues.

Depending on your distribution you will need to execute either these commands:

# service nova-network stop
# chkconfig nova-network off

Or these commands:

# systemctl stop nova-network.service
# systemctl disable nova-network.service

On the compute/controller node(s) to disable the nova-network service.
