I am trying to setup a multiple region openstack.

In my configuration I have 2 sites A and B. Keystone is configured on A is shared by B. Rest of the services are separate.

Problem: If site A goes away or there is a network outage on site A, then site B stops working.

What is recommended configuration for the same? Can I replicate the keystone and configure?

After going through a lot of different options found that one of ways is to use keystone HA like mentioned above, but with a split-site clustering. Pacemaker seems to support the same.

I will try that and post back with results.

Because keystone is istalled on site A,so when site A is down, keystone cann't support service any more. You can install keystone on an independent site.

Hey Thanks for quick response.

So are you saying install keystone on site C? If yes what will happen if site C goes down? Is there a way to configure mirror of keystone on site B, so even if A is down B can still function independently?

What you think about is the HA(high aviability) of keystone. You can use a HA proxy to manage the two keystone installed on site A and site B.

So, as per my understanding HA is normally designed to work in the same site although the nodes may be in a different rack.

In my use-case both keystones will be on a different site, do you think the keystone HA configuration will work ok across unreliable network connectivity?
