Asking for an advice for a career path. [closed]
Hi, I'm Sungjin Kang, a developer in S.Korea.
I'd like to ask for some advice concerning a career path.
What I have done so far is to design for embedded hardware, to develope simple firmware, and to develope simple web services with Django etc. Also I became interested in OpenStack since I participated in introducing OpenStack for the company. Wanting to see the document in Korea, I've been contributing as a I18N Korea cordinator for a translation team in the community.
Recently I've left a company and nowadays I'm looking for a job and asking myself what I should do. My main interest is to help developers better develop, like making infrastructure programs.
If I think about OpenStack, I'd like to do something like developing an Infra program such as Openstack or do things like people in the OpenStack Infra teams do..
What could I do to be able to do such things? How should I shape my career path?
Now I'm not working so I'm working on translating documents. But I don't think that's all I can do at the moment.
I'd like to find a job but I'd like some advice on my next move.
Thanks
Those are good questions, but this probably isn't the best place for them. If you are interested in OpenStack, maybe follow the general and development mailing lists and see what seems interesting, and try to get involved in the community through submitting patches, writing documentation, and so on.
@larsks: Thanks :)
