Monasca Agent: format of log file to send matrices

In Monasca-agent README here It mentioned: "Retrieving metrics from log files written in a specific format. "

Can anyone please point to such a format?

If I understand it correctly, if I point the monasca-agent to the logfile written in specific format - it can pick it up from there (the collector) and send it to the monasca-api. Right?

Thanks.

i don't exactly know the format of logs, i just know that logs come in raw form then are transformed using stack distiller and again given to kafka queue. i have a question.....either monasca-agent is installed on controller from where it collects logs OR it is installed on every individual module (nova, cinder, neutron etc) to collect logs?
