I installed Devstack on my Virtual Machine following a classic setup. Now, to use the cloud,i have to authenticate against the identity service Keystone. If i'm right i should use the RC file that i can download from API Credentials ( on my case), infact the file start with the following comment:

"To use an OpenStack cloud you need to authenticate against the Identity service named keystone, which returns a Token and Service Catalog."

So, i download the file on my devstack directory, then i run source ...and now? What i have to do? I should restart the service to validate the authentication?

Run :-

keystone token-get
keystone service-list
keystone endpoint-list
keystone user-list

Ok, i sourced the file then i run the commander keystone token-get and my lists were updated. But now, i have to restart openstack for validate this? When i try to connect to a servce using browser ( ex. Compute at ) i still get "Authentication required" as output.

You want authentication for using API's or for CLI clients

For Devstack we need to pass credentials to keystone like "source openrc admin admin " these are the default admin credentials.
