Hi I've serached on this issue and can't seem to find what i'm looking for (though may be searching wrong)

So we are looking at replacing vmware completely with openstack (mainly for licensing fee's etc). question i have is, is there a vmware view manager equivalent in openstack?

How we use it is: a bunch of users connect to the vmware view manager and then the connection server gives the user a vm. I don't know if keystone can do this, or if the user has to manually select a vm to use.

Our users aren't the smartest, so they need to be able to automatically get the virtual machine/instance, not just get a url and use that

Though I am not an expert but don't think there is anything equivalent to VMware View in OpenStack. OpenStack is a cloud operating system where as VMware View is a virtual desktop infrastructure. They both have very different use cases.
