https://github.com/mseknibilel/OpenStack-Grizzly-Install-Guide/blob/OVS_MultiNode/OpenStack_Grizzly_Install_Guide.rst#210-cinder tells me "Note: Beware that this volume group gets lost after a system reboot. (Click Here to know how to load it after a reboot)"

So I follow Here to https://github.com/mseknibilel/OpenStack-Folsom-Install-guide/blob/master/Tricks%26Ideas/load_volume_group_after_system_reboot.rst which tells me to edit /etc/rc.local to add losetup /dev/loop2 %Your_path_to_cinder_volumes%

Since I am setting up a single-server system using LVM as per his instructions, I tried cinder-volumes (fails with No such file or directory as well as /var/lib/cinder * and */var/lib/cinder/volumes (fails with /var/whatever is a directory).

When following his instructions (and I have searched, thrice, for path within them to try to find something else), prithee kind geniuses, where is this path of which he speaks?

The full path to the cinder-volumes file created when you ran the dd command in this step:

$ dd if=/dev/zero of=cinder-volumes bs=1 count=0 seek=2G

If you ran that command in /root/ for example then the full path would be /root/cinder-volumes
