Devstack won't allow access to Fedora or Ubuntu

I've done devstack installs for a while now. I always have a 192.168.1.0/24 IPs handed out to my machine. Devstack launches instances using floating IPs in the same subnet. When I launch a cirros instance, everything works fine. However, the fedora image that comes pre-installed launches but doesn't allow pings on the internal or external network. I installed an Ubuntu image but the same problem seems to occur. Has any one else faced this issue with devstack ?
