nova image-list

After the installation of nova in openstack icehouse in ubuntu 14.04 lts server. When I execute the following command nova image-list
I am getting the following:

        import netifaces
    ImportError: No module named netifaces

I have successfuly installed mysql, keystone and glance services.

It looks to me like you are missing one or more Python modules -- in this case one called netifaces. Make sure you did the apt-gets the install manual lists. Look on page 26 of the Juno install guide.

It sounds like you have not successful installation of python netifaces module. Try the following line, to install netifaces. It may solve the problem:

pip install netifaces

thank you for your kind response As per your suggestion i applied the command pip install netifaces but this leads to another error

netifaces.c:1:20: fatal error: Python.h: No such file or directory #include <python.h> ^ compilation terminated.

Hi there, I have the same problem after executed pip install netifaces:

netifaces.c:1:20: fatal error: Python.h: No such file or directory #include <python.h> ^ compilation terminated. error: command 'x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc' failed with exit status 1

Hi there, I solved installing:

apt-get install python-dev

Encountered while installing CLI's via pip on 14.04.2. First issue was with requests, solved with help from this comment: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-pip/+bug/1306991/comments/10 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+so...). all would then install clean except nova. python-dev and then 'pip install netifaces' worked.
