I have installed Openstack Grizzly by following the devstack based method and also installed the ceilometer module. Everything has been installed successfully, created two VMs, but still on dashboard under the resource usage tab i do not see any data getting populated.

Ceilometer.conf file has the basic entries, ceilometer installation created a mysql schema named ceilometer. Why do I not see any data geting populated on the dashboard from the spawned VMs?

os_tenant_name = service
os_password = password
os_username = ceilometer
policy_file = /etc/ceilometer/policy.json
verbose = True
notification_topics = notifications
rabbit_password = password
rabbit_host = localhost
rpc_backend = ceilometer.openstack.common.rpc.impl_kombu

signing_dir = /var/cache/ceilometer
admin_tenant_name = service
admin_password = password
admin_user = ceilometer
auth_protocol = http

connection = mysql://root:password@

Did you add the ceilometer service to keystone, then restart horizon?
