Your issue likely to be with firewall, Check if you can telnet from compute node to your controller node using port 5672 Ex: telnet controller 5672 If its refuses the connection then you need to disbale the firewall. But before doing check if rabbit server is up and running

Ty for the reply, from compute node : telnet controller 5672 >> result >> Trying 192.168.1.11... Connected to controller. Escape character is '^]'. Connection closed by foreign host.

i have provided iptables in both nodes would u please review : http://paste.openstack.org/show/158421/

Suggested beginning with RDO in #openstack on IRC. OP will try this to better understand network plumbing.

This is applicable as the OP is new to OpenStack and attempting to get OS working in his home.

Along with appreciation of all the ones with valuable replies, I solved it with the worse and maybe full-guaranteed answer.

To re-install all !

Dont know what caused the problem, probably some where incorrect word, password (like for rabbitmq pass) or misspell of a word, but for the ones, first-time installlers like me :

1.maybe it wasn't a bad idea to re-install every thing from step 0 and this time u know what is valuable to pay attention to and i have to say, attempts to find a solution to this problem took 2,3 times time than re-installing (and still dont know where the problem is)

2.dont type config files for the first time, copy-paste from manual, coz finding i.e a wrong dot symbol "." or "-" instead of "_" in 5 to 10 config files, is headache guaranteed and mostly unsuccessful.

3.these are my correct nova.conf files (http://paste.openstack.org/show/158974/ (for controller node) ) && (http://paste.openstack.org/show/158975/ (for compute node) ), which they worked for me.(CONFIG FILES FOR OPENSTACK-LEGACY NETWORKING from official manual http://docs.openstack.org/juno/install-guide/install/apt/content/section_nova-networking.html (http://docs.openstack.org/juno/instal...) ) my wrong files are within this topic if u check (above, the log files and press more button for confs), there are some different sentences among these 2 files, right and wrong, and u might need to change some datas, like ip addresses, hosts, password and ...

P.S : couldn't type links in tag of links out of need more reps to post them through

hey there,

my suspicion is in two points.

1. may be your rabbitmq-server is unreacheable do check respective logs.
2. Any of your nova services are down especially `nova-cert, nova-scheduler`

Restart all your service properly, and even as Abdul Rashid told firewall may also block network creation.

And even sometimes restarting your system may also trick the game.
