Hi Guys,

i would like to know, is it possible to configure Nova with two storae backend? for example, if i boot a raw image, it will instantiate from ceph storage and if i boot a qcow it will boot from gluster storage.

The reason for me to ask this kind of question is i find booting raw image is a little bit slow compare to booting a qcow image.

Please advise? :)

I've tested multiple cinder backends for Gluster && iSCSI LVM
1. http://bderzhavets.blogspot.com/2014/...
2. http://bderzhavets.blogspot.com/2014/...
You may have in /etc/cinder/cinder.conf following entries :-
First entry in [DEFAULT] section

#######################
enabled_backends=lvm52,gluster
#######################

and at the bottom

[lvm52]
iscsi_helper=lioadm
volume_group=cinder-volumes52
volume_driver=cinder.volume.drivers.lvm.LVMISCSIDriver
iscsi_ip_address=192.168.1.127
volume_backend_name=LVM_iSCSI52
[gluster]
volume_driver = cinder.volume.drivers.glusterfs.GlusterfsDriver
glusterfs_shares_config = /etc/cinder/shares.conf
glusterfs_mount_point_base = /var/lib/cinder/volumes
volume_backend_name=GLUSTER

hi dbaxps, just to confirm, by having this configuration we can directly boot instance inside separate storage rite?

Not sure what means "separate storage rite" ?
I can run several VMs at a time with gluster backend && iSCSI LVM backend. My System RDO Juno on CentOS 7 works this way.
