When creating users, role and tenant in keystone, an id is automatically generated.

Please let me know whether we can change or manually specify the ID at the time of creation of users, roles and tenants.

Hi Hamerins,

Judging from the help for user creation it doesn't seem so.

# keystone help user-create
usage: keystone user-create --name <user-name> [--tenant-id <tenant-id>]
                            [--pass <pass>] [--email <email>]
                            [--enabled <true|false>]

Create new user

Optional arguments:
--name <user-name> New user name (must be unique)
  --tenant-id <tenant-id>
                        New user default tenant
  --pass <pass> New user password
--email <email> New user email address
  --enabled <true|false>
Initial user enabled status (default true)

Thanks for the replay.. if i am trying to troubleshoot some errors.. i am finding it difficult to check the details related to one service... because for the different instance id.. is it possible to change the ID at the mysql DB level?
