VM instances are always created on compute node(the node in which nova-compute service is running)

Hello HK,

If you have horizon installed, you can create an instance using the dashboard. You have to choose the flavor, which is the size, and you have to determine which image you want to have on your instance. I recommend you to look at this: http://docs.openstack.org/user-guide/... and this to choose the correct parameters: http://docs.openstack.org/user-guide/...

If you have more specific question, edit your post.

Hope you can continue with that

It seems that you have a ssh problem. Try to verify simply if you can ssh your new host. Maybe there is a conflict with the ssh key.

What exactly do you mean by new host ? Is it my compute node in the Openstack compute-controller architecture. I am able to ssh my compute node from the controller node but get the below warning: Warning: Permanently added '172.16.32.*' (ECDSA) to the list of known hosts.

Yes, it seems like an ssh error. Can u suggest how this can be resolved ?
