URL of image for testing in Redhat Openstack horizon GUI

Hello, Happy New Year! I have installed the Red Hat Linux Openstack, and able to open up the GUI Horizon dashboard. Need any URL of image (in QC0W2) to build and launch an instance. Would appreciate if you can recommend the url. The instance & image is only for trials purpose and will not be used in production. Thanks alot for your attention

Openstack recomends a lightweight test image called cirros. It can be download via wget:


You can add this image to glance by the following command:

glance image-create --name='cirros image' --is-public=true --container-format=bare --disk-format=qcow2 < cirros-0.3.1-x86_64-disk.img

But if you need more, you can download ubuntu image.

If you really want qcow2 image, you can download Fedora and CentOS image from RDO Image resources.

Another option is using SUSE Gallery to select your image format(qcow2, AMI, ...) and download it. See SUSE Gallery.
