Resize doesn't always extend disk on ceph backend

Hi all,

I'm using ceph as backend on a Juno installation, with KVM as hypervisor. When resizing an instance, RAM and vCPUs are correctly updated, but the disk (rbd device) extension doesn't always work. Most of the time the 'rbd list' command shows an unchanged size. BUT sometimes it works.

Has anybody experienced this problem, and maybe solved it?

Thanks.

What's the success rate? I'm having a hard time to believe that this is random.

Do you always use the same VM? flavour?
