Hi,

I have installed and configured openstack Havana in Host server machine. But when i try to reach the metadata server from host using, curl https://169.254.169.254 it is not reachable and returns error saying, The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time.

Which one you are using.
    1. Metadata via the DHCP namespace
    2. Metadata via the neutron router

Run below command : ip netns exec qdhcp-7372e6bb-515d-4b20-b7da-e64f75455962 ip a

It should contain : inet 169.254.169.254/16 brd 169.254.255.255 scope global tap490286f4-0c

Also in VM , route -n will contain : 169.254.169.254 180.168.0.155 255.255.255.255 UGH 0 0 0 eth0

From HOST, you will not any result for curl https://169.254.169.254 but from inside VM, you will get results.

Reason becuase this IP is configured for each dhcp namespace.
