I have a laptop with 3gb ram , core 2duo processor. I am installing openstack on vmware. Virtual machine has 1.5gb ram. note : this just for experimenting(learning) how to configure the openstack. Later we deploy it on higher configuration. Is above configurations are enough?

I had done a test environment on my Toshiba C50-A172 with INTEL I3 processors having 3GB of Ram. Its slow, but you will get an overview of how Openstack works. My version was Icehouse on Ubuntu. I dont know how VMWARE will behave on this infrastructure.

Best Luck

Its so slow, but is enough to setup testing environment. My last experience on openstack installation was on a poor system with 1GB RAM. Make sure that your processor supports virtualization technology(Check this link if your processor is intel). You can use devstack on ubuntu to setup your envirtonment.

if only for testing only seem to be but is not recommended because it will be very slow, For a minimum requirement may be checked at this link
