Hi

I want to change the default MTU for all tenant machines

is there an option that would do this on the router or do I have to use the dnsmasq.neutron.conf file and force via the dhcp option

thanks in advance

Yes, it is a known procedure for instance for GRE tenant's networks, change MTU to 1454 for VMs :-

[root@dfw02 neutron(keystone_admin)]$ cat dhcp_agent.ini | grep -v ^# | grep -v ^$
[DEFAULT]
interface_driver = neutron.agent.linux.interface.OVSInterfaceDriver
handle_internal_only_routers = TRUE
external_network_bridge = br-ex
ovs_use_veth = True
use_namespaces = True
dnsmasq_config_file = /etc/neutron/dnsmasq.conf

[root@dfw02 neutron(keystone_admin)]$ cat  dnsmasq.conf
log-facility = /var/log/neutron/dnsmasq.log
log-dhcp
# Line added
dhcp-option=26,1454

Is this change applicable only for specific tenant? Or is it for all tenants?
