Quantum DHCP: Insert server name in DNSMasq hosts file

Hi, My setup consists in two Debian Wheezy nodes and I am using Openstack Grizzly. My objective is to have an internal DNS for my instances. DNSMasq can provide this out of the box, but.. quantum-dhcp writes to the hosts file like this:

fa:16:3e:1c:8e:4b,10-130-38-4.mydomain.com,10.130.38.4

Is it possible(?) to write: fa:16:3e:1c:8e:4b,myinstance.mydomain.com,10.130.38.4

This would enable querying the instances by name automatically. I remember that in previous versions of openstack (ie, with nova-network) this was working.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is a known limitation in Neutron - see this bug.

There is a project called Designate which aims to provide a proper DNS service for OpenStack.
