@RHK can you provide the output of this --> neutron net-list Also how you are deploying the VM by admin user OR demo user ?

I usually boot as below: 1. create a port using "neutron port-create" command 2. Boot instance by specifying the UUID of the new port: nova boot --flavor FLAVOR_NAME --image IMAGE_NAME --nic port-id=PORT_UUID

Why dont you add the net-id as well while booting. Because i had faced the exact same issue before and failed to start VM. But when i tried to boot using net-id option, error has gone and VM has started.

nova boot --flavor m1.tiny --image cirros-0.3.2-x86_64 --nic net-id=b210e318-01b0-4227-a096-adcdcc8a2c2e --security-group default --key-name=demo-key demo-instance

If you have multiple networks than you always have to provide with net-id.

Hi all, I have faced same issue and I solved following way. The exact problem is neutron services not able to communicate to the nova services .

How do i solve this issue?

Just Add the admin role to the neutron user command: keystone user-role-add --user neutron --tenant service --role admin

Note: similarly check all the neutron services

After executing keystone related commands, run neutron agent-list for verification
