How do I perform a clean reinstallation of openstack? By clean I mean I want all pre-existing configuration to be removed before reinstalling. I am installing via packstack --answerfile.

It seems that although it seems to reinstall, it retains a lot if not all of the previous configuration.

I am installing across multiple servers.

Take a look at https://access.redhat.com/documentati...
Replace quantum by neutron. I would also remove /etc/neutron

It would be nice if packstack included an option for full cleanup.

Grand little script though. Place a for loop for remote nodes around RPM and data removal sections and sorted.

Note:

I had an issue due to Consistent Network Device Naming, which meant my servers had different interface names. If co-hosting compute with controller & if only single interface then you may also need to restore the original interface for packstack to complete re-installation.
