I'm seeing the following while installing via the stack.sh script from devstack. The issue seems to te related to glance's "setup.py". Has anyone seen this?

2013-10-01 14:41:04 + sudo chown -R stack /opt/stack/glance/glance.egg-info 2013-10-01 14:41:04 + '[' 0 -eq 0 ']' 2013-10-01 14:41:04 + cd /opt/stack/glance 2013-10-01 14:41:04 + git checkout -- requirements.txt test-requirements.txt setup.py 2013-10-01 14:41:04 error: pathspec 'requirements.txt' did not match any file(s) known to git. 2013-10-01 14:41:04 error: pathspec 'test-requirements.txt' did not match any file(s) known to git. 2013-10-01 14:41:04 ++ failed 2013-10-01 14:41:04 ++ local r=1 2013-10-01 14:41:04 +++ jobs -p 2013-10-01 14:41:04 ++ kill

Looking the "/devstack/fuctions", it seems to be doing the following:

functions: (cd $project_dir && git checkout -- requirements.txt test-requirements.txt setup.py)

Running manually also shows the same error

root@ubuntu-dev# git checkout -- requirements.txt test-requirements.txt setup.py error: pathspec 'requirements.txt' did not match any file(s) known to git. error: pathspec 'test-requirements.txt' did not match any file(s) known to git.

AFAIK, this looks like a mismatch in the devstack and glance version available in your setup. I believe the source code available in /opt/stack/glance is grizzly based or prior (since requirements.txt file is not available). While the devstack code is post-grizzly (since it expects requirements.txt in source). I would suggest you either do a 'git checkout master; git pull' from '/opt/stack/glance' or if you want to install grizzly based OpenStack, execute a 'git checkout stable/grizzly' from the devstack dir. And then excute stack.sh!
