Can you tell when do you have this error? Is it an error on one particular screen?

This error comes from OpenStackClient and should be fixed in the current 1.0 releases. You may need to manually update it with 'pip install -U python-openstackclient'.

I exectued 'pip install -U python-openstackclient' and then I ran again ./stack.sh but the same errors happended. I'm using a VM image of Ubuntu 12.04.5 desktop 64b, and trying with devstack (icehouse) as the others did. The 'python-openstackclient' version is 1.0.1. Any help?

I'm seeing the same problem here on centos 6.6 with stable/icehouse. python-openstackclient is v1.0.1, and I've done a full uninstall/install to make sure there's no possible confusion (though there shouldn't be since this is a clean VM built from scratch yesterday).

I can also confirm that the same thing run on Ubuntu 14.04 works fine - python-openstackclient is the same version, but python is 2.7 versus 2.6 on centos 6.6.

I think dtroyer is right. You can use 'pip list |grep openstackclient' to check the version of openstackclient. If the version is not correct, you can download the latest code and execute "sudo python setup.py install" in the "python-openstackclient".
