Cinder with EMC VNX - API calls, how are they formed for EMC specifically?

I am a soon to be OpenStack API user. I'm am unsure of how the API calls for Cinder when using EMC VNX driver is formed.

As far as I'm aware Openstack is built on its own API, right? So how would I target the EMC storage through the API? Is there any documentation or blog posts, that you think have been nice, regarding this? Thanks /Alex

You can work through the Cinder API for each of the options the driver gives you. If you need to work with any of the configuration options that are not supported then you will need to access the EMC directly:

While this driver may not be the exact one you are using it will have a list of supported features such as creating a volume, deleting a volume, and so on.
