I believe that if you have 5 Ethernet cards on Network Node, maximum of external networks connected would be 5-2=3 . In general, N-2

I do not believe there is a limit in the code.

You can create virtual interfaces to give you however many endpoints you would like.

May I ask why you are looking to create so many external networks?

Could you, please, clarify why any official manual recommends to have on Network Node 3 Ethernet adapters for management net, for VXLAN OR GRE endpoint and for external network (just one) instead of creating virtual interface for external network traffic.

For simplicity. You can do the same thing as the manual on a single interface. We do this on a bond. Create several vlan sub interfaces on the bond to separate traffic. Those vlan sub interfaces are treated as separate interfaces.
