I want to get the MTU size to 9214 for the bridge ports and TAPs that Neutron creates on OVS and Linux bridges. I also want to have the created VMs also use 9214 MTU size.

From reading the configuration guides I am not sure exactly what parameters to set to enable 9214 MTU size end to end.

I am using VLANs and ML2 plugin with openvswitch mechanism driver.

Here is information that is helpful:

http://docs.openstack.org/juno/config...

This Option:

veth_mtu = None (IntOpt) MTU size of veth interfaces

You need to set the same on all of the ports using Jumbo Frames on the Switch as well as the VLANs.

I believe the rest of the bridge interfaces will pull MTU size from the physical interface. You'll want to set it up on all of the physical interfaces as well.

Since you are using VLANs you may want to drop the size down as well so you don't run into issues where it is too large. Possibly an MTU size of 9000 or so.
