Hello all my instance keeps getting stuck in build/scheduling state and won't come out of it. I've searched openstack and google but nothing seems to help. the instance log file says this.

i'm using nova-network because of the lack of servers.

ERROR (Conflict): Instance d9dd7935-3200-467d-906c-283f30bd3164 is not ready (HTTP 409) (Request-ID: req-58e02f30-e44b-4774-9bab-5776eb4299a5)

in horizon i'm also getting Error: Invalid service catalog service: volume

according to the docs this service is optional.

which log file should i post here?

just found out the following: Endpoint does not support RPC version 3.33

i have upgraded rabbitmq to the latest version but still the same error.

Please change the debug mode 'true' in nova configuration file(nova.conf) as below:

Restart the nova compute service and check the logs again for more detailed error messages.

Also make sure that nova-network is setup correctly and assigning IPs to newly created instances.

Please provide the detailed logs of nova-api and nova-compute for further tracing of the issue. You may provide the logs using .

thanks for your reply. I found out that the juno repository wasn't added and upgraded on the node. (add-apt-repository cloud-archive:juno) That's the reason why i got this message Endpoint does not support RPC version 3.33. now i need to remap my network and I "hope" all will be fine
