what does 'FIXME' comment mean in the source code. [closed]

hi brriliant devs,

when I read the source code of keystone, I see some comments start with 'FIXME', followed by maybe someone's name and then comment. Like this:

"

FIXME(jamielennox): this is deprecated in favour of retrieving it

from the service catalog. Provide a warning.

"

So does this mean that the code piece commented is under improvement and the author of this comment is calling for collaboration, or it's just the same as ordinary comments?

thx,

darren

FIXME: means the code might have some bad design or just a temporary workaround and the author just made a mark here to remind him or others to replace it with better one. Normally, it is some kinda like TODO: with higher priority.

Hope that helps!
