Long shot here but I am in the middle of doing a clean install of Juno in a lab environment. I have just installed the the Nova client as shown here: http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/insta...

However when I go into the nova.conf file to edit it I am missing a lot of the configuration.

All that the file has is this:

[DEFAULT]
dhcpbridge_flagfile=/etc/nova/nova.conf
dhcpbridge=/usr/bin/nova-dhcpbridge
logdir=/var/log/nova
state_path=/var/lib/nova
lock_path=/var/lock/nova
force_dhcp_release=True
libvirt_use_virtio_for_bridges=True
verbose=True
ec2_private_dns_show_ip=True
api_paste_config=/etc/nova/api-paste.ini
enabled_apis=ec2,osapi_compute,metadata

Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening and how I can get the rest of the configuration in the file?

In openstack, configuration file for certain component such as nova will use enough default configurations which are basically commented out to perform the OOTB behavior unless you explicitly override them or add additional configurations. e.g. in nova.conf

#dhcpbridge_flagfile=/etc/nova/nova.conf <- **this is the default setting no matter you specify it or not**

  dhcpbridge_flagfile=/etc/nova/my-nova.conf <- *this will override the default value*.

Besides, you will see the whole OOTB configuration in openstack for nova at http://docs.openstack.org/juno/config...

Hope that helps!

Both samples providing by http://docs.openstack.org/juno/config...
don't contain neutron configuration section. They seem to me supposed to work with nova-network.
