Follow this link to create floating ip if you haven't created any. http://openstack.redhat.com/Floating_IP_range

To assign floating Ip's manually. You can view all your floating IP's from Dashboard-->Access and Security-->Floating Ip's-->Associate Floating IP

If you want to associate Floating IP to your VM instance automatically then edit /etc/nova/nova.conf file

Edit line 56, auto_assign_floating_ip=true

Hi Anand,

Thanks for your prompt comment.

Two queries :

  1. Still i am not able to create : Floating point IP -/root/keystone_quantum subnet-create public 192.168.1.0/24 --name vlan --enable_dhcp False --allocation_pool start=192.168.1.57,end=192.168.1.62 --gateway 192.168.1.1

As there is no keystone_quantum file in root./etc/nova/nova.conf . . 2. auto_assign_floating_ip , flag is not present in

Please suggest v, Thanks in advance
