Basically i have set up Ubuntu 14.04 single node Icehouse lab.

root@vsa-icehouse01:/etc/keystone# nova hypervisor-list +----+---------------------------------------+ | ID | Hypervisor hostname | +----+---------------------------------------+ | 1 | http://vsa-icehouse01.tplab.tippingpoint.com | +----+---------------------------------------+ root@vsa-icehouse01:/etc/keystone#

i am able to open horizon gui as a admin user.

Now I want to add RHEL6 compute node. I have installed openstack rpm on RHEL6 to ad this as a compute node. need help on that.

Question is How to register new / additional RHEL6 compute node So it will display OR i can add on controller in a hypervisor-list.

and we can create vm on that also.

also updated keystone as suggested by yatin as below and restarted keystone on umbutu14.04 box as below root@vsa-icehouse01:/etc/keystone# grep admin /etc/keystone/keystone.conf admin_token=ADMIN

The IP Address of the network interface to for the admin

admin_bind_host=0.0.0.0

The port number which the admin service listens on. (integer

admin_port=35357

The base admin endpoint URL for keystone that are advertised

admin_endpoint=http://localhost:%(admin_port)s/

recommended if the scope of a domain admin is being

root@vsa-icehouse01:/etc/keystone#

Thanks, Vinay

i have added as describe as below.

Hi Vinay, refer to below url to setup your compute node, do the configuration accordingly, if you configure it correctly it will be automatically registered with your controller node. http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/in... For any query, please comment

You can add any number of compute nodes you wish. Can you elaborate on what problem you are facing. According to your description you are running keystone user-list and not able to get user list. First check on what interface keystone is listening using: netstat -tnlp By default admin port listens only on the interface you describe in your keystone.conf public port listens on all network interfaces by default. If you want that admin port should listen on all network interfaces, then add following parameter to your keystone.conf admin_bind_host=0.0.0.0

That is possible. We can add RHEL6 machine as Compute node to Ubuntu Controller.

The above command "keystone --debug user-list" itself is raising exception. First we need to resolve that issue. Can you paste the keystone after executing "keystone user-list" command.
