I'm new to openstack and I'm getting this error when I try to spawn VMs.

Error during following call to agent: ['ovs-vsctl', '--timeout=120', '--', '--if-exists', 'del-port', u'qvo6af2bd79-28', '--', 'add-port', 'br-int', u'qvo6af2bd79-28', '--', 'set', 'Interface', u'qvo6af2bd79-28', u'external-ids:iface-id=6af2bd79-28cf-42e6-a46f-de0d2eb0e34f', 'external-ids:iface-status=active', u'external-ids:attached-mac=fa:16:3e:76:62:00', 'external-ids:vm-uuid=16d7443f-f804-478d-b248-f06e95af8314'].

I see a couple of people have faced similar issues but I couldn't find a solution. I've reinstalled the OVS and tried to spawn the VM but it didn't help. Appreciate any help in solving this issue.

Please, post ovs-vsctl show && brctl show when VM spawns on Compute Node

I resolved the issue. The issue was that while creating VM, it would error out while doing "neutron-rootwrap /etc/neutron/rootwrap.conf ovs-ofctl show br-int"

ovs on my server was built locally so it's within within /usr/local/bin/ and /usr/local/var/run/openvswitch/. Usually it's within /usr/bin/ and /var/run/openvswitch/.

I created a soft link between two directories /usr/local/var/run/openvswitch and /var/run/openvwitch/

So when you are accessing /var/run/openvwitch/ folder you are in fact accessing /usr/local/var/run/openvswitch/. This solved my issue.
