It is not at all clear from any of the documentation what the base url should be for accessing the networking API. These are all the available endpoints (as listed in API Access on the Access and Security option of OpenStack console). None of them seem to pertain to networks. I tried using the uri path in the API documentation for networks with the Compute endpoints, but that didn't work. Any ideas??

Generally the network endpoint uses port 9696, something like the below providing network is installed on the same machine. Make sure the Neutron service in installed guidelines are http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/openstack-network/admin/content/install_neutron_server.html and if using Devstack you can check out https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/NeutronDevstack .

Network http://10.178.5.4:9696/v2
