ignoring unknown interface eth1=eht1

I'm trying to install Openstack On VM Follow that Openstack Cookbook instructions . After installing configure networking on OpenStack Compute node , I Save the file and bring up the interfaces with the following commands: sudo ifup eth1 sudo ifup eth2

Look in your /etc/network/interfaces file, there will be two lines.

auto eth0 iface eth0 inet <snip></snip>

Make sure that there isn't a typo in one of them.

Hi, there's a typo like gdahlman mentioned. After the word iface, it should be eth1 not eht1. Similarly for interface eth2, it should be eth2 instead of eht2 after the word iface.

There still seems to be a typo. It says "eht2": ERROR while getting interface flags. Did you change the interface to 'eth2' after the iface word in the interfaces file?
