I ffound the solution after taling directly on IRC. By default the debconf didnt create the database conection string in the cinder.conf and also the database cinder user couldnt coonect from anything alse than local host. after manualy creating the connection string in Cinder.conf and also putting % in the Cinder-common DB user Cinder volume was registered in the database. I dont know if this should be filed as a bug of the Guide

Hi, I have the same Problem, but I can't follow your steps to fix this problem. Could you please explain it in more details, maybe with the command line inputs. Thanks for your help.

Are you able to view the service hosts in "cinder-manage service list". And restart the cinder-volume service on compute nodes and paste the logs.

Are there any error messages or exceptions in Cinder-volume logs?

If not, then cinder-volume is unable to communicate with controller. Please verify the connectivity once.

Hi,

If it's not in the cinder database then it possible that it was not installed properly. It will also help if you post your cinder.conf and include information about your setup, like how was it installed, how many nodes are you trying to setup..stuff like that.

Cheers
