configure glance with a NFS server

asked 2014-10-31 05:49:44 -0500

I would like to configure glance that uses a NFS server to store the images. Additionally, I want my compute nodes to talk to this NFS server directly without having to go through the controller (where my glance service is running) when it downloads the images. Is there a way to do this?

Yes, if you store Glance Images on separate server, then those images will directly copy from NFS server to compute nodes. Just request will pass through glance node (controller), but the Image.

Second alternative but don;t use this: You can deploy your glance service on NFS server instead of controller, which not recommended. As a result, glance requests also go to NFS server directly.
